YouTube will reduce video quality globally due to corona virus

YouTube plans to reduce the quality of its videos all over the world during the spread of the coronavirus.

According to the company, users will first see standard quality videos. This means that videos will still be able to be watched in high quality, but they will have to choose them through the options menu.
YouTube has already implemented this solution in Europe, along with other streaming services like Amazon Prime Video and Netflix. European Union regulators have called applications to limit their use of bandwidth.
The use of broadcast services has increased dramatically as hundreds of millions of users have been forced into their homes to stop and contain the spread of COVID-19, the virus that started in Wuhan, China.
